Chasity F.

My name is Chasity and I like reading because it is fun to express my feelings. As a reader it is fun to learn to read. My favorite book is mystery books because I like to find out what the mystery is about it.

My favorite book is The Old Willis Place because it is sort of a mystery book not really but it has ghost in it in it so it is kind of a mystery book.

What my goals are as a reader is I want to become a better reader and I want to read all of the Mark Twin books or more. I want this probably in the future.

Roland Smith, Scholastic New York, 2007

The book I have been currently reading is Peak and so far it is really good. It is about these two boys that go hiking up this mountain and this was before mount rush more was there. They even stayed in a tent when there was a blizzard. That is all that I am at right now but I have a couple of questions to ask before I read on. What will happen next? Will they die in a blizzard? What will they serve on the mountain? What food will they eat? There is a lot I want to know about. I like this book because it is about mountain and I like mountains. There is nothing that I don`t like about this book.

This book is the best mountain book ever. This book is all some and you should read it. It expresses your feelings yea that is how good this book is. It’s just amazing. I love this book Peak.

This book is the book that will blow your mind away. This book is the best book ever probley made. If you like mountain books then yea you should read this then.

Chasity, I love the Old Willis Place. It is one of my favorite books, besides Abduction. I would say Old Willis Place and Abduction are even they both are really good books. The first one I reed was Abduction it is about a little boy and he was getting taken by his father that he had never meet. I bet your wondering how the dad got him to go with the dad, well im not going to tell you. you have to read it yourself.

R.L STINE, GOOSEBUMPS, SCHOLASTIC NEW YORK, JULY 1992
The book I am currently reading is Goosebumps WELCOME TO THE DEAD HOUSE. It is a good book but still scary. This book is very intenerating. This book also makes you jump to yea that is a little bit scary if you read this book. This book is like a mystery but more scary. This book is about this family that is moving into this old creepy house and they don’t know that kids call it the DEAD HOUSE. When they all go to sleep this boy hears something in the hallway and he gets up and he sees a… you will have to find out if you read this book. You will jump when you read this book GOOSEBUMPS WELCOME TO THE DEAD HOUSE.
This book is spooky to read but it is really good to read and like I said I love mysteries and this is like a mystery. Mysteries are fun to read so I would grab this book and sit down and read.
If I was a little kid then I would not read this only if I was a really good reader and I would know how to read chapter books but anyways GOOSEBUMPS is a really good book to read.

Smith, Roland, CRYPTID HUNTERS. New York: Hyperion Paperbacks for children, 2005
Hi my name is chastity and the book I am currently reading is CRYPTID HUNTERS. This book is a fantasy fiction book. This book is about a boy and a girl named Marty and Grace. They went to a preparatory school in Switzerland. Sometimes during the day they always had some sort of bad news. Sometimes they would get really bad news. If you like Roland Smith books then I think that you should read this book or any other book he rote. This is a awesome book to read.

I liked the part when the twins always resaved bad news because it is like a mystery and like I said I like mystery books.
The part that I didn’t like was when Marty was a illustrating a comic book because I thought it ruend the whole book.

Chasity- I love Cryptid Hunters! I like how the twins get lost in the jungle. I like that Roland Smith makes a lot of books with action in them, because those are the kinds of books I like to read, which you probably already knew. I just finished The Mulberry Project. It’s a Mark Twain award nominee, and I really it. Julia and Patrick are partners for a club, and they have to do a project.Patrick had an idea to do silkworms for a project, but Julia doesn’t want to do silkworms. I love this book!-Brittany

Smith, Roland. Elephant Run. New York: Hyperion books for children, 2007
Elephant Run is a Fiction.
The book I am currently reading is Elephant Run. Elephant run is about a boy named Nick and in his town there are sometimes bombs where drooping from the sky. So one day nicks mom was at work and nick was home with his made Mrs. Knolls and they went down to the underground station down the street. Then his mom came and a few hours later the bombs stopped and his mother had to tell him something. She said that her and nicks dad had been talking and we think it would be best for you to come up with him and stay there with him in Burma. Nicks mom said so I am sending you to Burma.
The part I like about this book was when the bombs where falling out of the sky because when it rains I think like there bombs.
The part I didn’t like about this book was when nick had to go to his dad’s house because sometimes I have to go somewhere that I don’t won’t to go either.

Hi Chasity, Criptid Hunters sounds great! Once I tried getting it but I didn’t find it at the library, maybe I should put it on hold when I can. I love reading Mark Twain books, aren’t they interesting? Any way, I like how you described what the characters are living, and your feelings, how they ruined the book by adding that Grace was illustrating a comic book, I think that it’s great that they added that, but every one has their opinion.

Warner, Sally. Only Emma. New York: Viking, 2005
Realistic Fiction
The book I am currently reading is Only Emma. It’s about this girl named Emma and she has a normal life just like us but at school its todly different. There is this girl named Cynthia and she all was gets her in trouble. Like on Friday she whispered to me and the teacher thought that I was whispering something to Cynthia. She was so mad at Cynthia. Cynthia always had to walk home with Emma. Emma thought that Cynthia was annoying. One week later Emma sat down with Cynthia at recess and told Cynthia how annoying and mean she was to her. Then Cynthia and Emma where friends again and Cynthia stopped doing that stuff.
One thing I liked about this book was when Cynthia was being mean to Emma and Cynthia kept doing mean things to Emma until Emma talked to Cynthia. It makes me think of when I had to sit down and talk to my friend.
One thing I didn’t like about this book was when Emma got in trouble for what Cynthia did.

I agree Chasity. I might not like it if I got in trouble for doing nothing. It reminds me of Eragon. In that book he got into trouble and someone died, when it wasn't really his fault. You should try reading this great book! But don't check it out until befor break! It will take that long to finish!!!

Smith, Roland. Peak New York: Hyperion Books for Children, 2007.
This book is Fiction
The book I am currently reading is Peak. This book is about a boy whose family loves to clime. One day his dad was climbing Mt.Everest and his wife called him and she was having a baby and the name was Peak. When Peak got older (14) his parents devoured he lived in New York. So one day Peak decided to clime a skyscraper. So he did. The first time he did it he took a can of spear paint and he speared a mountain with the sun peaking out from the back of it. The second time he did it he got caught and he went to court and his dad was there to. His dad said let him come up with me to go clime Mt.Everest. So Peak packed his bags and went to go clime Mt.Everest.
The part that I liked was when Peak claimed a skyscraper and speared a mountain and the sun peaking over it. It reminds of me when I think of doing bad stuff like that.
The part I didn’t like was when Peak had to go with his dad to Mt.Everest. It reminds of me when I don’t wont to go anywhere to. Chasity 11/7/07

Smith, Roland. Elephant Run. New York: Hyperion Books for Children, 2007.
Fiction
Hi this is Chasity and the book I am currently reading is Elephant Run. Elephant Run is about this boy named Nick and in his country there would be bombs that would drop from the sky. So every time they would hear the siren they would have to find shelter. So one day nick was inside and all of a sudden the sirens went off and him and his housekeeper Mrs.Kolls had to go find shelter were every body else was at. His mom was at work then his mother was coming to the shelter. After the bombs went away his mother told him that he would have to go live with his dad in Burma. Nick didn’t want to go stay with his dad but he had to go.
The part that I liked in the story was when the sirens went off so Nick and his housekeeper Mrs.Kolls had to go find shelter were every body else was at. It reminds me of when the sirens go off when there’s a tornado is around.
The part that I don’t like was when the bombs would drop from the sky. It reminds me of when I was little and the rain would scary me just like Nick but he has bombs falling out of the sky. That’s even more scary. Chasity 1/9/08.

Chasity- Have you read The Lightining Thief? I love this book, and I think you would too! It's one of my favorite books, and I normally don't like "magical" books. I don't want to make this long, but you should read it! A kid named Percy Jackson discovers he is a half- blood, which means he is half human half animal. He has to go to a special camp and find his father, who could be a god, and if he his, then which god he is. This is a very good story!

Piemme, Edizioni. I’m Too Fond of My Fur. New York: Scholastic Inc, 2000
Fantasy
Hi this is Chasity and the book I am currently reading is I’m Too Fond of My Fur. This book is about this mouse that talks and his name is Geronimo Stilton and he is too fond of his fur. There is this thing called the Yeti and it lives at the top of the Mouse Everest. Geronimo Stilton decides that he should go find the Yeti at the top of the mountain. So he did but when he got in the taxi he wanted to give his family a hug because that always what they do when he leaves. When he left he turned the taxi back around and his family came out and they decided to come with him. When they got to Mouse Everest there was a little café between the mountains. They went in there and they talked to the little man that owned that and he said that they could go up the mountain but the little man sent 7 guys up with him and his family. His family was Thea, Trap, and Benjamin. So they started to climb the mountain and the found so clues in the middle of the mountain. Then they reached the top and they found a cave. Only Geronimo went in the cave and the 7 guys went with him to and his family went back down to the café. They heard something go boom boom boom and they all hid behind a huge rock and they saw the … Yeti. They found a back way and they went back to the café and everything was on news.
I liked the part when they found the Yeti and they got on news and everything. This book reminds me of when I go to the mountains but there’s no Yeti there. Chasity 1/25/08

London, Jack. White Fang. New York: Jack London 2001.

The book I am currently is White Fang. This book is realistic fiction because a person can really turn a dog into a killer dog. White Fang is part dog, part wolf and he was the tiniest cub to survive. Then White Fang gets taken away from this person and the person turns him into a killer dog and it’s a pit dog. So one day White Fang fights for money and White Fang was very angry. His owner was very cruel to him for example he would treat White Fang like nothing and he would push him around and White Fang thought that it was nothing like home. So White Fang decided to run away and he did and he found his home and he was back as normal.
I liked the part where White Fang was the tiniest cub to survive because it reminds me of when I was just as tiny but a little bigger.
The part that I don’t like was when White Fangs owner bossed him around because it reminds me when I would bosses my brother around. Chasity*2/27/08

Patneaude, David. Deadly Drive. Illinois: company Morton Grove.2005.
Genre: realistic fiction
The book called Deadly Drive is a book about a girl named Casey Wilde who lost her mom in a car accident when she was little. Casey has two goals; one was to become an excellent basketball player like her mom, and to find hit-and – run driver who injured her and killed her mother nine years earlier. Casey is now fourteen years old. On May fifteen, a moving truck arrived in her neighborhood. She wonders if there’s a girl. So that day, she finds her new neighbor; she was fourteen years old too. Her name is Autumn. “My name has to do with September.” Autumn said. “Fall!” Casey shouted out. “You’re warm” She answered. “Autumn”.
I don’t like the part that it comes to her mom’s dead anniversary. I like the part where she got to meet her new neighbor.
